Meet Susana Hernandez, DMD

Background & Early Journey
Dr. Susana Hernandez is a General Dentist who has been proudly serving the Ocala and The Villages communities since 2017. A native of Cuba, she immigrated to the United States at the age of 21 after completing two years of dental education in her home country.
Education & Early Clinical Experience
Dr. Hernandez continued her academic journey at Florida International University in Miami, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology. Prior to attending dental school, she gained valuable ands-on experience working for four years as a Certified Dental Assistant, providing care primarily to elderly and senior patients in the Miami area. This experience helped shape her compassionate, patient-centered approach to dentistry.
Dental School & Professional Growth
She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville. In August 2019, Dr. Hernandez joined Magnolia Dental, where she practices alongside her husband, Dr. Yosvel Blanco Sanchez.

Professional Memberships & Continuing Education
Dr. Hernandez is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Marion County Dental Association. She is deeply committed to continuing education and regularly pursues advanced training in endodontics, occlusion, implant dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. She is also a graduate of the prestigious Dawson Academy.
Life Outside the Office
Outside of the office, Dr. Hernandez enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their three children.
